Arkanoid.

Growing up as a kid, there was this pizza shop near my house. My friends and I would go there and eat pizza and play Arkanoid all friggin day long. Arkanoid is an arcade game similar to Atari's Breakout, where you got this little paddle thing thats hitting a ball so that it hits these colored bricks above you. Nevertheless Arkanoid ruled.

York Street Cafe, we had played there once before. They have Arkanoid. It was one of the things Willem and I was looking forward to the whole way out here. Not to mention the Bowling game, where you throw 1/2 sized balls down a lane towards some plastic pins. Hoo yeah. Awesomeness.

Oh the gig? Fucking awesome. We had apparently made some fans last time we were here. And we also played with Sweet Amnesia, who we had also played with last time we were here. So we had a lot of repeat visitors, as well as several people who told me that their friends had been playing our CD nonstop and they liked it and came to see us this time around.

So yeah, who would have known that Newport Kentucky would be a hotspot for us. Surely not us, but now we know. And damn, they know how to raise the hotties here. Consistently hot girls at this venue, even after the bar closes. Which was another blessing of this night. You gotta love when they tell everyone to go home except for the bands and friends. Yeah bowling, Arkanoid, and alcohol. Oh and Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD's... What a great night...

Also wanted to mention the band after us, Swarthy Band. The lead singer looked like a dog fucker. To be more specific, he looks very much like comedian David Cross, who everyone knows is a dog fucker. That may be the title of our next CD: "David Cross is a Dog Fucker". But yeah, the Swarthy Band rocked. Very tight musicians and vocals, kinda that sing-along beatles/the who kind of rock. Awesomeness.

Thanks to everyone at the show, from those behind the scenes, like Justin and the soundguy, to the bands, to the crowds, and the hot chicks who gave us the eye candy.
