Welcome to the International Blast 2010 and for us it was a big welcome back to J.K. ODonnells in Fort Wayne.

The day started pretty normally till we got to Fort Wayne, where we met with on-air personality Marti Dee (not to be confused with my alter-ego Marty McDee, full time musician, part time employee) from WAJI MAJIC 95.1 in Fort Wayne.

We did a bit of recording a mini-interview promo that will be running for a little while, which will be used to introduce our songs when they play them on the air.

After the radio bit, we headed down to where the balloons filled the air, Wayne Street, where the town had cordoned off the block for a block party. And there was our huge outdoor stage, surrounded by beer and food tents, and a large contingent of Fort Waynenites. Billy Sparkles and Amber were in tow and the night was headed to a great place.

We did our thing, and what was nice about this one was that, being an outdoor gig, the sound on stage can be a bit hectic or hard to manage. But the crew did an amazing job of making us sound good to us, so 90% of the work was out of the way.

It was a well-rounded evening, however, the later portions of the post-show evening were lost to me as I went straight back to the hotel to catch up on sleep. I can only imagine that a good time was had by all at the Rail. But no one talked about it the next day, so it's hard to tell :)
