Classic making lemons out of lemonade. Gotta do it sometime. Billy had family and friends in Cleveland and we've been hitting it of late, but it's a tough nut to crack. People are like play the bay, play the westside, play the eastside. Just one of those cities with so much potential but need every star to align to have a huge show.
We played a huge place with this ginormous circular stage behind the bar. It was indeed as Billy described...like playing in the Caribbean to a pool below. No mai-tai's though.
After the first set, it became clear we weren't going to be playing the four hour show as previously agreed, so we let it all out second set and rocked the kind people who came out on a school nut for much needed support. We had to be at a radio station in Cincy early the next day so it all worked out. And hey, the pizza guys next store loved us, so we got a bunch of free slices.
I will always remember having the dinner of my dreams. I love pretzels. I'm the pretzel man. And I was in the mood for fish. Lucky for me the restaurant served pretzel crusted bass. Who knew? Rock.
