So we pulled into Cincinnati early to record an interview with Brian Douglas from Q102. You can see it here:
Brian Douglas interviews Breaking Laces
The interview was really fun and Brian Douglas might be the most informed interviewer we've ever had (as evidenced in the video!). Not to poo poo on other people who have interviewed us, but damn the man does his homework...
That done, we packed back into the van and headed on over to Newport, KY, just across the river, home of some of the most important characters in Breaking Laces lore. Lots of our old friends have scattered to the Kentucky wind, fan-familiar names like Johnny Bluegrass, who always begged for me not to write their tour diaries, and The Dude, who we loved even though he scared the crap out of us, and so many more.
But there are those in our Kentucky Contingent who still greet us with open arms. Now, this is where I pussy out and not name names because I can't remember names for the damn life of me. Stupid ADD. (My therapist would be upset that I accepted that label just there, but damn..).
However I will name Steve from Sweet Amnesia, and our buddy Billy, who inspired me last time to state that "you should know your judge".
Anyway, these guys have kind of become our Kentucky landlords and the van almost just drives itself to their place.
The gig went awesome, for both bands.
Headed back to Steve and Bill's (makes it sound like they are a couple! Apologies guys, but I said it and now it's forever logged into the databases of the internets. But seriously, they're not), and proceeded to have some fun playing PS3 and Apples To Apples, the official board game of Breaking Laces LLC.
Seth said I started babbling, tried to say something important, and passed out on the couch. I don't remember for sure, but I do know that Seth is a liar.
Liar liar pants on fire.
